About our guest: The Soltones are a 6 piece The Soltones are a brand new funk/jazz/soul group based out of Denver, CO. Beginning with an Instagram message and an offer to meet up and jam, The Soltones quickly grew from 2 members to 6 in the span of a few weeks. Blending traditional jazz and modern R&B, they are aiming to bring a new voice into the Neo Soul space. The band is comprised by veteran musicians Josh Van Wey (keys), Ryan Milliron (drums), Danny Petitti (bass), Jackson Feroe (trombone), T.J. Guardino (guitar), and fronted by powerhouse vocalist Jacob Adams. They stopped by the DownBeat studio to perform 3 original songs; Breakdown before the Breakthrough, Get ya Girl and I Wonder.
